Send in a report BELFAST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (EGAA/BFS) - TWR 118.3, APP 124.9 or 122.9, A/G 121.75Spotting Info 14 miles west of Belfast off A57, these viewing spots are marked in the Spotting in the UK download. For the cargo ramp, turn left out of the terminal and head past the hotel. You can either turn left at the car park entrance and head down to the fence for views, or head into the car park itself and follow the fenceline. Plenty of places to spot airside, views good through the glass. G-AVFE Trident is with the fire service in the northwest part of the airport and is visible on arrival and departure depending on runway usage, so sit on the right side of the plane. The Trident is also visible from Seacash Road - again heading towards the car parks from the terminal, turn right at the car parks and at the mini roundabout turn left onto British Road. Head past the cargo area and turn left on Seacash Road immediately after the approach lights. There are places to stop along here for views across the airport and as you get to the end of the road, you'll see a hangar in front of you with maybe a few light aircraft in sight to read off. Send in a report CARRICKMORE AIRFIELDSpotting InfoHead southeast out of Carrickmore on the B4 and after a staggered crossroads, the road begins a long gradual bend to the left. Turn right on this bend onto Whitebridge Road. You'll pass a right and a left turn, the road then winds around a fair bit and the airfield is then on the right. Last reported August 2012. Want to update or confirm the information is still correct? Send in a report CASTLEWELLAN-SLIEVE CROOB AIRFIELDSpotting InfoFrom Castlewellan head northeast on the A25 for just over a mile. In Annsborough, turn left onto the B175 Ballylough Road signposted Ballynahinch. Head north for around a mile and turn left at the triangle junction onto Clonvaraghan Road. Continue north, over the small crossroads, through the hamlet, then turn right onto Ballywillwill Road. Take the second left (it's before the road bends right), follow the straight road for around two miles and you'll see the runway and hangars by the road on the right - the entrance is shortly after. Follow the B41 Tobermore road northeast out of Draperstown for about 2 miles - you'll pass a staggered crossroads, then a right turn just before some houses. After you pass a couple of fields on the right, the next entrance on the right is to a house, take the very next right track and follow it right down to the strip. DUNGANNON-DONNYDADE AIRFIELDSpotting InfoHead southeast out of Dungannon on the A29. After 2 miles cross the M1 at the roundabout and half a mile on turn right onto a single track road. The strip is on the right after half a mile, it's just south of the A4 duel carriageway coming off the M1. Closed on Sundays. Want to update or confirm the information is still correct? Send in a report DUNGANNON-TULLYALLEN AIRFIELDSpotting InfoLeave Dungannon on the A45 heading southwest for about 2.5 miles to the A4. Turn right heading west for around 3 and a half miles and turn right onto a side road. After 100 yards turn right then after 50 yards turn left. The airstrip is on the right. Send in a report EGLINTON/CITY OF DERRY AIRPORT - TWR 123.625Spotting InfoFrom Londonderry, head east on the A2, turning left off the roundabout following the airport signs. At the next roundabout, immediately prior to the airport entrance, turn left onto Clooney Road and continue round the right hand bend. You'll pass a road on the left, followed by the end of the old disused cross-runway on the right. Take the next right onto Airfield Road, round the right bend and continue to flying club and hangar entrance on right. Park and ask for access - gate may be security locked. Friendly, but access is limited to the main hangar and adjacent apron. On the final approach to runway 26, if the tide of Loch Foyle is relatively low, you can still make out the wing and fuselage section of WB375 Firefly, resting here since 1954. Send in a report KILKEEL AIRFIELDSpotting InfoThere are two strips here. Take the A2 west out of Kilkeel and then the second right (could be signed for Attical). Follow the road for a couple of miles and the strip (Kilkeel North) is on the left where the road takes a bit of an S bend. Very friendly if contact made beforehand. The other strip (South) is the diversionary field if weather is too bad up the hill. From Kilkeel take the road towards Cranfield, just beyond Derryoge and before Dunnaval the strip is on the right. Send in a report LISBURN-ULSTER AVIATION SOCIETY MUSEUMSpotting InfoThe Ulster Aviation Society's hangar is in the Lisburn industrial estate on the old Long Kesh airfield. The entrance is on Halftown Road that runs north out of Hillsborough and Culcavy and over the M1. The site and the hangar containing their aircraft is not open to the public, and as such, casual visitors are not allowed. They do allow pre-arranged group tours and show them round the exhibits, but you must contact them and book the tour well in advance. Full details are on the website, including a downloadable booking form, the terms and conditions, and the cost of tour. As they are a not-for-profit organisation, the cost is simply to cover expenses, but it's well worth it to see these aircraft and support a great cause. Last reported November 2012. Send in a report NEWTOWNARDS AIRFIELD - TWR 123.5Spotting InfoHead southeast out of Newtownards town on the A20 and the airfield is on the right. Friendly, ask at reception for access to the hangar and apron, a hi-viz jacket is required and you'll need to be escorted round. They may also drive you over to the hangars on the far side. If not, there's a separate entrance off the A21 on the west side of the airfield. Turn left out of the main entrance and follow the perimeter roads round the north and western boundaries. As you're entering Portadown, turn right at the roundabout onto Seagoe Road and take the very next right onto Tarsan Lane. Follow this road right to the end for the airfield.
