CURROCK HILL AIRFIELD

Spotting Info
Head east out of Hedley on the Hill village and after just over a mile you'll pass a farmhouse on the left, quickly followed by a staggered crossroads. Turn left here up Engine Road, a narrow track, and the entrance is on the left. Friendly, ask for access. G-KNEK G109 lives in its own hangar halfway down the runway, you'll have to ask to see it. If it's all locked up, there are gaps at the bottom of the hangar doors to read a few off. XW249 Cushioncraft is supposed to be stored here, confirmation required please.

ESHOTT AIRFIELD - TWR 122.85

Spotting Info
Heading north on the A1 away from Causey Park, past Felmoor Park on the right, past the minor road signed to Helm/Eshott and take the next right signed Bockenfield, which comes back on itself. After about 50 yards, turn left and follow the road left to the airfield entrance. Very friendly, ask in clubhouse for access. Behind the main grey hangar, Microflight Spectrum G-MYAY is stored in the field. On the eastern side of the airfield are some more hangars and individual lockups where you can read a few more off. You'll need to ask if it's ok to walk over there and if you get permission, just follow the track east past the main hangar, though you need to climb over gates and fences to get there and it's at least a 10 minute walk each way. The annual Great North Fly In is extremely popular and good weather often brings in a good number of visitors - access to all areas is often granted after a charitable donation.
